Dante Mullin Santone is a Canadian baritone based in Montreal, Québec. He is a member of the Atelier lyrique at l’Opéra de Montréal and a recent graduate of the University of Toronto’s Master of Opera program.

Recent role credits include Escamillo (Carmen - G. Bizet), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte - W.A. Mozart), Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte - W.A. Mozart), Odysseus (Castaway by L. Berkeley), Beaupertuis (Il cappello di paglia di Firenze by N. Rota), and Bartley (Riders to the Sea by Vaughan Williams).

A passionate performer of art song, in 2025 he was the winner of the Jim and Charlotte Norcop Prize in Song, awarded annually to a highly promising singer of art song at the University of Toronto. In 2023, Dante participated in the Toronto Summer Music “Art of Song” program and returns to the festival this summer as one of their Academy fellows.

Dante has appeared as a soloist in a wide variety of concert works, including Mozart’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem, and Bernstein’s MASS. He is dedicated to the creation of new music and has premiered several new works, including Evan Tanovich’s Missa Solemnis in D, One Thousand Shields of Gold  by Justin Lapierre, and Allan Bevan’s Perfectly Mad. He's also contributed to numerous workshops of new operas, including Jonathan Dawe’s La tragédie d’Atys, and Ian Cusson and Royce Vavrek’s Indians on Vacation.

This year, Dante makes his debut with l’Opéra de Montréal in the role of Morales in Carmen, while also covering the role of Leporello in Don Giovanni. He is looking forward to performing in their 26/27 season, in which he will sing the roles of Johann, Werther, Idas in La tragédie d’Atys, (J. Dawe), and Marullo, Rigoletto.
